Inland Marine

Inland Marine is property coverage for material, products or equipment that moves or is transportable, or is instrumental in transportation or communication. This type of policy also typically covers property that is owned by someone else but stored at the policyholder’s location.

Property insurance protects your tangible assets stored at your main business site and up to about 1,000 feet away. It doesn't protect property that is stored beyond that distance or property that is in transit between business sites. This is where Inland Marine can fill in the missing gaps.

Could also be product stored inside of a moving vehicle like a Food Truck. Speak with a trusted agent to understand the differences and where your policy may have gaps.
